Free to join in – just turn up with your bike and helmet! (there is an entry fee of £10 per adult to enter the Transcend Festival Village, kids under 16 are free)
For children and their parents, and anyone else – all welcome!
Join hundreds of riders, of all ages, at our legendary annual event. For 2019 we will make our way from Peebles along the Tweed Valley Railway Path, a picturesque route following the River Tweed for much of the way, finishing at the Transcend Festival village, outside Innerleithen where you can go on to explore the festival delights!
Please note this is not a closed road circuit, instead we’re all riding as a group along the route, with marshals leading the big bike procession.
Open to everyone, just bring a bike and join in the parade. Riders must be capable of confidently riding the route, which will be available to inspect on the TweedLove website in advance. All riders under 16 must be supervised by an adult.
Helmet compulsory / Gloves recommended
GO e-Bike is proud to sponsor the Tweedlove Family Ride for 2019. Inclusive events like the Family Ride make cycling accessible to people of all ages and abilities and can encourage people who haven’t been on a bike in a while to give cycling a go in a relaxed environment.
Electric bikes can improve air quality through ultra-low emission commuting, support healthy lifestyles, and open access to opportunities. They can achieve this by attracting a wider range of people to cycling and increasing the number of trips people can make by bike.
GO e-Bike is a regional e-bike sharing scheme developed in partnership between the South East of Scotland Transport Partnership and Bikeplus. To find out more and to get in touch follow us on Twitter @GO_eBike
